Sport Relief 2014 is about Making Every Mile Count! 

Make Every Mile Count encourages users to track their miles on the lead up to the Sport Relief weekend and contribute them to a collective national tally. The initiative is designed to bring the entire nation together to get active, have fun, raise life-changing cash and support the Sainsbury Sport Relief Games.

The Challenge

Hi Mum! Said Dad and Sport Relief aimed to unite the nation and foster participation in a mass effort across sporting disciplines to Make Every Mile Count.  

Together the nation is challenged to log as many miles as possible as a collective effort on the lead up to the main event, extending event participation, supporting the addition of Swimming and Cycling and bring everyone together for a single meaningful goal. 

The Solution

Hi Mum! Said Dad produced ‘Sport Relief - Make Every Mile Count’ across iOS, Android, Responsive Web and the backend solution to run it all.

 

Using GPS, the platform enabled users to track their practise miles as they prepare for the main event. Users were rewarded for logging miles with medals and exclusive videos from celebrities. Users could donate via in app billing and share achievements across social. For those that already had a preferred fitness app, users could import miles from the big names, such as run keeper, moves, map my run.
