We were lucky to join forces with some great brands and businesses in 2015 and wanted to share some of the memorable moments. We had some groundbreaking months and in between, a lot of hard work. Let’s dive right in!

January: BreatheSport, a new mobile start-up, opened its doors for business and we were happy to work alongside them on their new product. Conceived as a place for sports fans to come together to react and discuss the latest sports news and events; it’s been exciting to see how it’s evolved over the following 12 months based on the feedback from their passionate user base.

March: With over one million users and 7,000 restaurants across the UK, tastecard is the largest dining club in the country. Although they already had hugely popular iOS and Android apps, they didn’t have a Windows Phone app — a key mobile OS for a number of large businesses. We worked on and released a brand new version of the app with a unique user interface that WP users expect for the platform.

April: Red Nose Day is practically a British institution and for each event they look to do something a little different from the last one. In honour of this year’s campaign we worked with Comic Relief on the ‘Make Your Face Funny for Money’ promotion. The site was designed to let users upload shareable, funny photos of them alongside a donation to RND ’15.

July: Ritz launched one of their largest marketing campaigns in 30 years to introduce its newest product, the Crisp & Thin range, backed by a £10m campaign to bring the brand into the 21stcentury. To support the new product launch, we designed and built the Ritz Bakery as a hub for the campaign with new competitions, social activity, TVC content and Spotify tracks.

August: We brought back Carling’s iconic iPint app. Building on the original premise of pouring a virtual pint, you can ‘cheers’ your pint with a friend for a chance to win rewards. The app is now underpinned by a comprehensive engagement platform, designed to foster loyalty amongst drinkers and drive footfall to stockists.

November: This was the month we helped introduce the new fundraising platform, Pledgit. The site is designed to allow users to create and share campaigns, standing out with one key difference: whoever creates the campaign agrees to pledge their own donation in addition to those made by their supporters. Celebrities such as Nick Knowles, Jenny Seagrove and Matt King jumped on board to encourage a fundraising community that leads by example and to, quite literally, put your money where your mouth is.

On top of Pledgit’s launch, we were delighted when our work with Carling’s iPint took home the EMMA award for ‘Most Effective Loyalty Campaign’.

In summary:

2015 was a busy year for HMSD; we’ve seen the team grow as well as welcomed new clients. 2016 has gotten off to a great start with a number of exciting projects in flight, including some new work with Oxfam and Carling. So stay tuned, there’s more to come.

Thanks to our clients and everyone who’s shown us support this year, we’re excited to share with you all the projects we’ve got in store for 2016!
