Have you ever wondered why door handles are shaped the way they are? Or why so many train station platforms are inaccessible to wheelchair users?

At the end of last year, Hi Mum! Said Dad's Design and Strategy Director Tim Smith joined the lovely people at The Research Thing to talk about 'Design vs. Human behaviour'.

Tim discussed his experience with accessibility design; his observations around how and why design can sometimes fight against us as people. He also shared some real-world examples from his own work with people with disabilities, specifically with autonomous vehicles for the likes of Volkswagen and Google.
